酥油茶是中国西藏的特色饮料。多作为主食与糌粑一起食用,有御寒提神醒脑、生津止渴的作用。此种饮料用酥油和浓茶加工而成。先将适量酥油放入特制的桶中,佐以食盐,再注入熬煮的浓茶汁,用木柄反复捣拌,使酥油与茶汁溶为一体,呈乳状即成。与藏族毗邻的一些民族,亦有饮用酥油茶的习俗。
酥油茶的起源是文成公主刚入藏时,对西藏高原寒冷的气候非常不适应,于是将茶和奶掺在一起喝,还根据喜好加糖或盐,于是创造出了酥油茶。酥油茶是中国西藏的特色饮料。多作为主食与糌粑一起食用,有御寒提神醒脑、生津止渴的作用。此种饮料用酥油和浓茶加工而成。先将适量酥油放入特制的桶中,佐以食盐,再注入熬煮的浓茶汁,用木柄反复捣拌,使酥油与茶汁溶为一体,呈乳状即成。与藏族毗邻的一些民族,受到影响也有饮用酥油茶的习惯。
牧民们传统的提炼酥油方法是:先将从牛、羊身上挤出来的奶汁加热,倒入特制的大木桶中(这种桶当地叫“雪董”,是专用来提炼酥油的,高约4尺、直径在1尺左右),然后用专用的酥油用具用力上下抽打奶汁,来回数百次,搅得奶汁油水分。
